Default Soundminer Rewire

Hi,
I'm trying to get Soundminer's Rewire to work with my PT4cs5.
Intsalled the latest Soundminer, installed the Reason demo for the
rewire plugin. When Trying to install the Soundminer Rewirebundle
i get a message saying i need to re-install.
When starting Soundminer i get a message SM doesn't recognize Rewire
because it's older/newer than feb 2008?!
Is there a work around. Tried optical in, but get clock problems then because
i run internal.

On the FTP site there should be an installer for Rewire.

Each rewire application has it's own engine so installing Reason won't allow you to use Soundminer through Rewire.

I had the same thing a couple of versions back. I tried installing rewire from Soundminer's site and that didn't work.

Here's what I did.

Locate your Soundminer 4 application. Right click (or Control-click) on it and the contexual menu shows up. Chose "Show Package Contents". Navigate to /Contents/Resourses/SM4Rewire.bundle.

Copy the SM4Rewire.bundle file to /Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software. You may have to reboot.

Seems convoluted but it worked for me.

I agree with the above posters.
You should also keep in mind to install the SMrewire bundle that exactly fits your version number of SM.

SM v4Pro is working here through Rewire on PT7.4.2pr, 10.5.3.

I'm guessing that since the SM4ReWire Installer is giving you an error, something isn't finishing properly for it to work.

My files in Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/ReWire are

ReWire - an alias dated Jun 10, 2008
ReWire.bundle - Jun 3, 2008
SM4ReWire.bundle - Feb 22, 2008
WavesReWireDevice.bundle - Jun 3, 2008

I wonder if installing the Reason demo somehow caused a problem for the SM4ReWire Installer.

Check your mail. If it doesn't work, I'd try uninstalling anything to do with the Reason demo just to rule that out.
