quicktime 7.1.3 core audio does not connect

Hi please help!
I am currently using osx 10.4.8 running protools 6.9.2 on a g5 dual 2.0
Quick time is currently 7.1.3
i recently upgraded to 10.4.8 since install IDVD does not connect to the core audio driver hence no sound !!!!!
core audio version is 6.9.2
I know there was a problem with osx 10.3.9 and quick time 7.0 but idid not think this applied to 10.4.8
When loading 10.4.8 it automatically loads quicktime 7.0 !!!!
So what is one to do?????????
IDVD is not just the only thing that is not right internet is funky also i photo
Please please help this is BS

Hi Shaun, your OS version is way too new for the version of Pro Tools and Core audio you are trying to use. If you consider that Pro Tools version 7.0 was never qualified past Mac OSX 10.4.6 then that should give you an idea of just how far ahead you have updated. If you go to the support and downloads section of the Digidesign website the comprehensive information is there regarding Pro Tools versions and compatibility, core audio also.
