Default Finally getting an \"approved\" firewire card

So, I finally ordered myself one of the Digi approved ones. What I would like to know from folks who have gone from joe blow firewire card to an approved card, what differences did you notice? While I'm not having any major problems right now, I'm kind of curious as to what others have seen.

I was able to copy large files from a FireWire drive with a qualified FireWire card... with a non-qualified card I'd have errors.

I have a non approved firewire card in my desktop which worked fine with my 002r and my firewire drive, then I have an approved Firewire card in my laptop and I can't hook up the harddrive along with the 002r I have to put hte harddrive on the built in firewire port.

Well, now that I have the card installed, I noticed that PT loads just fine using the SP2 driver while my old card wouldn't. With my old card, I had to use the SP1 driver otherwise PT would lock up as it started up.
