upping to 24bit
I have laid some live studio takes in 16 bit. and am thinking of using them as beds for overdubbing as there are only 2 instruments and 2 vox. I want to up to 24 bit and hence will need to "save session in…". Couple or few questions
1) will this tax my computer significantly more? 2) how much will this increase file sizes (guess that gives me a feel for question 1)? 3) One of the options is to increase the fader gain, Is there a reason to do this? Thanks

1. Yes.

Re: upping to 24bit
24 bits doesn't tax your computer significantly more than 16 bits. There's 50% more disk input/output, and 50% larger file size. But CPU and memory use differences are negligible.
