Default Time Compression/Expansion question

Can you apply the Time Compression/Expansion parameters to a whole file? And if so, how?

I am trying to match the beats of 2 imported songs (DJ style).

My process:
1. I import 2 songs of similar, but not exact, BPM.
2. I select and trim a seemless one-bar loop of each song.
3. Using the Time Compression/Expansion plug-in (or by just looking on the timeline), I note the end point of one song and apply it to the other.
4. Process. It matches up perfectly.

The problem is when I want to use more than the one-bar loop. When I process the Time Compression it creates a new region of just that one-bar loop. I want to use the rest of the song.

I realize I could select more than my one-bar loop for Time Compressing but I'd have to
decide where I want to bring in one song and then count the beats, etc. Also, there would be a speed change where it goes from the Time compressed region to the original. I just want to have both songs at equal BPM so I can decide later where I want to mix in the second song.

I hope this makes sense...
Thank you and peace, Chris

Use your process, but, this time look and see what the percentage of compression is. Then apply that same percentage to any part of the original file to get the same results. Dig?

You should duplicate the track first, so you can always go back to the original.
