PT 9 crash using Aux send and faders to infinity

Hey guys,

I posted something a little incomplete a few days ago. Here is my attempt at making it clearer.

I'm running a MacBook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz intel core 2 duo with 4Gb of ram, glyph external drive and Apogee Ensemble with PT 9. I was having similar issues with PT 8-8.04.

So here's what happens:

I don't have text in my plugin window. If I click on the pull down menu I get text but as soon I let it go the box goes blank again.

Any time I pull my faders down to infinity PT9 crashes.

Any time I try and set up an Aux send PT9 crashes.

I've tried everything in the books, yesterday I went as far as completely formatting my system and doing a full reinstall but still the problem persists.

Has anyone seen this? Is it possible that the program file downloaded from digi is corrupt?

This sounds more like a font problem.

You should use something like FontBook or FontXplorerX to search for corrupted fonts.

When you reinstalled the OS, did you migrate any data over, or keep your current admin account?

Creating a new admin account and signing into it, then testing from there would help us determine if it's an admin level problem or a system-wide issue.

I did migrate my system info. I'll try doing the new account thing.
