Default Wasn't 10.1.1 supposed to come out yesterday?

The title says it all really. I know the HD/HDX version came out a while ago but I read somewhere that the rest of us were getting it 23rd March.

I'd hate to think that Avid is cynically trying to justify the cost differential by punishing non HD users with these delayed releases. The rest of us have paying clients too, and this bug is still wreaking havoc. Avid?

I'm not sure where you heard the date, March 23, but here is what the announcement said.

"For Pro Tools HD 10 on Mac OS X
The update available from this page requires an installation of Pro Tools HD 10.x software. See below for more information.

Pro Tools HD 10.1.1 is an officially qualified and recommended update for:

Pro Tools|HDX on Mac OS X 10.7-10.7.3 (Lion)
Pro Tools|HD on Mac OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard) or 10.7-10.7.3 (Lion)
Pro Tools|HD Native on Mac OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard) or 10.7-10.7.3 (Lion)
Coming soon: Support for Pro Tools (non-HD) as well as Windows 7."

I don't see a date stated.

Russ from Air Users Blog / Pro Tools Expert blog had stated the date as March 23rd (based on what he heard at Musikmesse I guess).

Airblog is where I've heard it as well. Looks like he jumped the gun on that announcement....

he (russ uk) amended his statement to say the 24th so maybe it'll be at some point today.

although, a saturday release seems odd so i'm guessing monday.

best,
marc

I really don't see it coming out until or after Monday.. usually releases are first of the week, and typically on Tuesdays.. not on the weekends.

I hope it is coming soon though, we are all itching for a fix to the audio drop out bug amongst other things.

Not sure why I still get excited about patches. They never fix the issues I have. But still, every time I sit waiting with my fingers crossed.

Here's to hoping!

that's the HD update. us non-HD users are waiting for an update too.
not PT HD 10.1.1 but PT native 10.1.1.

reporting that the release would be the 23rd or 24th was just misinformation...speculation.
