There are probably easier ways, but I have an fx processor in my rack with tap tempo. So I tap along and it shows me the tempo. I had never thought about doing that because I usually record my own stuff and sync Reason to Protools for a drums. But I was recording a vocalist the other day to prerecorded tracks. During mixdown I wanted to add some delay, but couldn't figure out the tempo. Then I remembered what the little blinking yellow light on the front of the fx was for. It may not have been perfect, but it was close enough.

can you be more specific? as I won´t read the manual to you

so since I only have 6.4 I am limited to ID Beat anyway but works good for me.
so select Audio Region, set Barmarkers, disable manual midi mode, choose ID Beat,
and set the Beat marker beginning to 1/1/000 and the end to 1/2/000 or 2/1/000 etc. done
Using on seperate reagions builds tempo maps.

at least I gave some hints on ID Beat, which was hard work enough.

you know what Jimi Hendrix replied when he was asked if he works like the usual man of labor
and gets up every day at six in the morning?

He said:I´ll try to get up every day! I couldn´t have said it better!

"Your soo lazy" ?

Who's the one who need to do the work to learn the knowledge here?

I thought that was a pretty rude thing to say to someone offering you free advice.

Take it as it is.

Though I don't usually use the dashboard/widgets, I installed a BPM widget. I just hit play then launch the dashboard (hot corner) and tap the tempo right on the screen.

Very quick and simple.

After I enter the tempo in PT, I move the 2 track on to the grid so I can copy and paste in grid mode.
