No WAVES!!
I get the expolding sound.
Just neede to point out that is NOT waves. And it does happen on FAST G4's.

It is really not an exploding sound. Its more like a slowed down saple rate like 1/16 the correct speed, and twice as loud.

Been a 001 user since the beginning, and only heard it with older version Waves plug-ins. Haven't heard it in a year since upgrading!


G4 400, OS 8.6, 2 ATI video cards, 3 ATA drives, Adaptec 2930 SCSI card, and Yamaha CD burner.

never had it in over a year,
Mac G4/350
Waves 3.0
MIDI system
3 internal drives, 2 ext. SCSI, CD burner
256 meg. RAM, maxed out, all ok.

I got my 001 setup in November, and I've never heard it.

G4 - Dual processor 500mhz
Only using the Digi plug in bundle
24 bit tracks w/ midi

No exploding sound for me.
G4 400/256. Waves Gold. Recorded and played back 24 tracks. Tons of plugins.
