Default Import Session Data & Layouts

Hi.
I have our S6 set to save layouts to Pro Tools ~ blue star next to Pro Tools in the WS soft screens.
Today I tried importing session data into a blank session from a session which contains layouts.
I imported all tracks but the layouts didn't come in.
Any ideas anyone?

This is not implemented. How should this work though as you might not want your layouts overwritten if you import into a session that already has them. The best way is to save them in a title and then load them once you have the new session open. They should then import via the S6.

Hi Eddie.
Perhaps a layouts tab in the drop down where one selects which data one needs to import.

For the time being I would suggest at least importing them into the session in another slot as duplicates. This is how Windows configurations and markers work. A bit of a pain dealing with duplicates but you can delete them.

This suggestion is just meant as an interim release to get the functionality in there, while something more flexible is being implemented, like a prompt for where you want to assign the layouts or an option to omit a layout from import. Just ideas.
