Default Most Tranparant Compressor / Limiter?

Okay, esteemed DUC colleagues, what do you all recommend for the best, most "hi-fi" compressor / limiter plug. I've been eying the Sony Oxford. I'm a bit wary of the Waves stuff (from all the negative threads about customer service), but I'm willling to be convinced if they sound the best. I'd like to be able to use this on individual tracks (i.e. vocals) and stereo mixes as well. Any recommendations?

I just got the Sony bundle (eq, dynamics and inflator) and I am very pleased. Sound quality is great, the eq and compressor both are able to be transparent or colored depending on how you use them. I also have the Waves (rtas only) and prefer the Sony, but i could simply be tired of the Waves.

I am definitely tired of Wave's upgrade policies. No need to rehash.

The Sony bundles are a good deal right now, they throw in a free Oxford reverb ($1099 retail) AND a rebate ($225 for the bundle I got). I think the deals last for a little while longer.

Best...H

I think the free Reverb deal ended on March 31st, what rebate ? Do you have a link or some more info for this, I wasn't aware of any rebate.

I can't find it on their website, but my dealer gave me a form when I bought the plugs. The rebates are from March 1 thru June 30. Maybe your dealer can help.
