If I may add......That can't be near as bad as the Dixie Chicks ruining...I mean covering Fleetwood Macs "Landslide". To me, there are just some Artists that should not be covered. A few examples: The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor. It should be agaist the law!! [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

Well, what do we really have to lose by hearing her version? When it comes to Mariah Carey, I have always thought the guys at the console did incredible work, and that is what I am generally listening to when I hear her work. To be honest, the guitar work at the beginning of Always Be My Baby is when I started listening to her stuff, the panning just blew me away.

Long story short, I'll listen for the production elements.

OK....I'll admit it....I DO like Mariah (well, at least her earlier stuff). This particular cover is ok.....

I do think that some "classics" should be left alone......

I thought the world ended when Celene Dion (sp?) covered an AC/DC tune on some dumb VH1 event; I think it was "You Shook Me All Night Long"...shook the hell out of me...yikes! [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]
