BEHRINGER BCF2000 NOT WORKING WITH PTMP 7.1

FOR SOME REASON MY BCF2000 DOESN'T WANT TO WORK WITH 7.1. IT USED TO WORK PERFECTLY WITH 6.8 AND 7.0 AFTER DOWNLOADING SOME PERSONALITY FILES FROM DIGI'S SITE. I THOUGHT I READ SOMETHING SOMEWHERE SAYING THAT DIGIDESIGN REALLY ONLY WANTS DIGIDESIGN CONTROLLERS IN PRO TOOLS.I DOWNLOADED THE OLD MACKIE 6.4 PERSONALITIES TO SEE IF THEY WILL WORK BUT THEY DON'T. IT DID WORK FOR A SESSION OR TWO BUT WHEN I CLOSED PRO TOOLS AND RESTARTED IT HASN'T WORKED SINCE. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS?????

First, please STOP SHOUTING.

Next, you don't need the old personalities (never did), as the proper HUI driver is loaded with the software. Loading the old personality will screw things up indeed. You need the latest HUI personality.

Most PT upgrades clear the preferences you have set up, and you have to reset them after install.

SORRY BOUT THE SHOUTING. But I still don't understand why it worked in 7.0 and not 7.1

with the BCF, i always suggest booting the computer with the BCF on and in BhuI mode.

hi, i read your post on the bcf2000
do you use it with pt on a mac?

that is what i do..
was wondering if it works on a mac as well, there seems to be a difference in the programs to set it up... (for windows there is, but not mac as i understand)

It still isn't working right. Im running the Behringer 1.10 MIDI drivers on a Intel 3.0Ghz PC. In Pro Tools M-Powered I go to setup> peripherals> MIDI controllers> and set the number 1 type to HUI and the recieve and send accordingly. If I don't add it in MIDI Studio Setup, it shows up in periphals as predifined BCF2000[01]. The BCF2000 is already on and says bhui on the display before i start Pro Tools 7.1. I don't want to just give up but I'm lost now?
