Default Using dual processors!

I have a dual core processor. Since I have been using Melodyne I have changed it to using one processor in the preferences folder in PT8. I would like to use both processors but i thought about in the older versions of windows they had a dual core fix. Do I need one now as well? I am running windows proXP SP3 and PTLE8.0

How many of you use the 2 processors and do all of the plugs now function with them in PT8 with XPSP3 and no hotfix or do you need one.......CONFUSION HERE!

the Melodyne plugin requires one to be at a certain level 1.01 (i think) to work with multi core cpus. i'm talkin' the RTAS flavor of the single plugin only, not the STUDIO or other versions. it's documented and discussed on their forums. you will have to continue to use only 1 core unless you are that req'd level.

Thanks for the quick replies. I am always looking at my plugs for updates and reading about what the update actually does. I am using version (1.0.2.0 shp melodyne plugin.dpm). THis is what the computer printed out on my plug sheet with the tech support utility.

Here is my delima. I notice they now have a new update. I am wondering if it is compatible with PT8 and if so I can't find anywhere what the fixes are. I have been on their forums all day, contacted their tech support and nothing. What are the fixes? Will it work ok with PT8 or cause even more issues? I also put it on my ILOK. do I have to reauthorize it? I love the program but daaaaammmnnn...LOL

Thanks again guys.
