Default Why do auxes return to unity Gain.. .

Why, when I reopen my mixes does the Aux Sends return to u nity Gain every time. I can set all channel to where I want the outputs to go and when I reopen the file, all sends have returned to unity gain. What am I missing here...?

hmm....maybe you have accidental volume automation that is keeping the faders at zero??

Thanks drguitar..

That very well could be. I will check the tracks. We are using the 003r for our rehearsal for our Smooth Jazz ensemble. we can put out 4 headphone mixes and even record the sessions with no problem with full tracking of Drums, bass, 2 keyboards and guitar. its very nice. Our only frustration is that the bus sends wont stay the same when ever we reopen the file. All the sends that are to buss' 1-9 are all back to unity gain? why is that? I have saved and saved and saved. drguitar's idea has me thinking that the sends are chasing automation on them for some reason and because I have have only just moved the aux sends and the bus sends and not WRITTEN info there this maybe the case. However, on my HD rig i can do a mix and the sends on the reverb never move - This still doesnt make any sense.

digi??

Hold down opt key and switch one of the tracks to the volume view. then hit Cmd+A (to select all). Then go to the edit menu, choose clear special and select "all automation".

If the faders just up again after that, then it's not a problem with automation being written.

This was fixed in the cs3 update:

Fixed: Adjusting Send Levels While Recording Audio Can Result in the Send Levels Resetting to "0" When Reopening The Session (Item #86186)
This would occur if no automation had been written on the Send.
