Pianosound has a point,
Yeah these are definitely too high suggesting a hardware issue. If these are idle temp it is way too high as a slight load would push it to throttling and either freeze the system or restart. Could be CPU heat sink, an unplugged fan maybe. BIOS settings could also affect this if CPU or RAM voltages are set too high.

Temperaturewise my maching has been on for a couple days straight, might that have something to do with it? Or should it always be cooler.
Yes it should always be cooler.

this "trick" of running 2 instances of PT is not gonna cut it IMHO. You need to be able to run it by the book or you will just be having more and more issues.

What version of windows are you using?
What tweaks have you done to the system / BIOS ?
What PT interface are you using?
Why is your report so different than what I am used to seeing?

I have many questions but to be honest I am not an AMD (or TYAN) user and could not provide any strait answers

@guitardom

-running Microsoft Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP3
-DEP is off
in add or remove programs theres only one Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 8.0.56336
-Video drivers updated and correct
-Had it built around 18 months ago by pcaudiolabs
-Fresh OS install last night

hope this helps stop the problem

@mykhal
I figured out the double instance thing by accident. Pro Tools hung during startup and I just clicked on the exe again, and it woke up and finished loading. So I just do it because that way Pro Tools end up actually starting every once in a while.

thanks!

@Mano

I appreciate all the help I can get. Im using Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP3, and an Original Mbox, I havnt tweaked the BIOS except for disabling onboard audio and following Shans BIOS setting from the quadzilla thread, the machine was built by pcaudiolabs so any other tweaks came from them.

I didnt realize my report was so different but Im not exactly experinced with Sandra, if you want to see any other report Id be more than happy to post it.

thanks again

i cant verify amymore, but my quad opteron was HOT. you could fry eggs on it. 2 physical cpu's running amd style. might be a bit hot but not sure if it would cause a serious problem. typically their are settings in the bios for temp alarms and such, might see where they are set at. IF you alarm is set at say 60C and you pass that temp, it will lock it up.

also list any bios changes. the opterons are not friendly to lots of tweaking and overclocking.
