Default Should I even bother?

Been looking into upgrading from Garage Band (either PTMP or Logic Express). I'm very interested in getting the Pro Tools M-Powered as I already have the 410 and the price is very nice. Problem is I have an iMac PPC v 10.4.9 So is it just a waste of money due to the incompatibility or are there ways around this?

I already read the specs in the first sticky, but it's it's a little too vague. Is it just one big hassle and headache or is it an easy fix?

there are a lot of people that are running 10.4.9 successfully. You just have to make sure you install correctly (combo updater instead of delta, pace prebinding, etc...)

So really, that's the only problem then? I just have to install the combo updater in place of my current software one and I should be fine?

You should be fine. What are your other system specs though? Pro Tools can be quite heavy on the computer.
