D-Command desk options

Anyone know of desk that are out or being designed for the D-Command? I know the ones shown in the ads by AKA Designs look cool, but I can't find any info on their site about them and I am open to other companies.

I send them a mail every day in order to get some prices information, no answer... seems that everyone is dead in this compagny

Anyway i had a price a few weeks ago for the main center section, it's something like 1290 dollars.


Arogsy told me that they are beginning to build one too.... to be released in a few weeks. Seems that they received their d-command quite later thant AKADESIGN.....

Don't know if you have seen this yet or not.
My question for AKA would be are there options for placement of the keyboard. The current
position in the pictures is unacceptable ( w/ a 24 fader system) for the way I work.

i agree with you concerning the keyboarg placement.... it may be easy to move it, or in any case easier than contacting AKA !

Irwin: There is no link (clickable) in your message, can you try again. As for the keyboard, I'd imagen you could install the shelf anywhere you'd like. I personally think it would be cool on the monitor end since the idea behind the Icon is not to be tied to the keyboard and mouse. Also that way when I put my computer monitor over the monitor section and use the focus channel the keyboard/mouse is right there. Just my opinion.

The AKA design ProCommand for D-Command desk is finally finished and just started shipping! RSPE Audio Solutions is the US importer and distributor for AKA.

The first batch units to arrive in the USA are flying on Virgin Atlantic Tomorrow and should be through customs and available early next week. I have a couple pre-sold and a demo desk going into the demo suite here at RSPE Audio Solutions but there should still be some available stock after that.

Feel free to give me a call or drop me an email if you want to come take a look at the ProCommand desk here in Los Angeles. The furniture also fits nicely around the D-Control as the styling and colours are the same.

We have also commisioned a monitor shelf to sit behind a 32 Fader D-Control and a producer's desk with 3 12u racks undeneath it - all in the same blue/maple styling. We have just finished installing the first ICON shelf and ProCommand furniture in Brian Malouf's new ICON studio in Studio City, CA.
