Default Broken s/pdif on my 002r?

It seems my s/pdif input on my 002r isn't working anymore. I had my api a2d hooked up to it and worked fine up until last night. Now i'm not getting any signal into the 002. Both the analog and digital levels show up on the api but nothing on the 002. The line levels work fine (hooked the api up via line-in to 002 and got a signal) but still doesn't work through s/pdif. Is there another way to check the s/pdif input on my 002 without using the api to make sure it IS the 002 and NOT the api? Say a CD player into s/pdif in on the 002?

check to see if your api is set to clock out and 002 external and that you're using a good 75 ohm cable.

Also, make sure you didn't change the 002's spdif to optical by mistake.
