digi001 PC VERSION RELEASE DATE

I've got a PC version of the digi001 on order, and I'm really keen (after being told a LOT of lies) on finding out the official release date (early 2000???)

i had been waiting too for the PC version!
Then i decided to buy a mac; so far, no probs any more

it seems that the PC version causes probs and nobody wanna talk about this!

all i've heard is `early 2000'.. how early is early?

ummm I dunno about problems, I've spoken to someone who's tried some `beta' version and they've said it runs fine.

one thing I really need to know, is what kind of motherboard etc i need.

i've been pointed in the direction of
an Asus motherboard (AGP)

The PCversion was on the Frankfurter Messe,
and it worked well.
They told me it should arrive in may.

Went to Digi001 seminar last night. They said it will be available May 8th.

Does that (May 8th) mean the US release date, the worldwide release date?

Is digi shipping PC software to owners of `mac' digi001's ?

If so- how would I order my PC version of the software? (i think it might be quicker getting a mac version if I can get the software sent out - if it's half as fast as what the promo videos took to send.. )

I went to a seminar last week and was told that the release date was May 15th and you could download the software that day if you are a registered user.

hi everyone.
im a bit confused.
so far ive been told, from various sources.

`january 1st' `feb' `march etc' `early 2000'
april, and then may the 1st, now may 8, now may 15. im wondering if someone from digidesign could actually answer some of my questions (I live in Australia).. and my situation is, I've had a PC version of the digi001 on order for a long long time now... and I feel that I've been lied to a few times by the dealer we're getting it through. (saying that they've actually placed the order etc).. so its kinda hard to explain, but we've worked it out that it would be better for us to purchase a MAC copy (which they have in stock) now, and get the software when it is released... where would I go to get it?? .. the digi001.com site is great and all.. could I / how should I place an order for digidesign to ship out a copy of the PC software.

can anyone clear any of this up for me? ---
from what i've seen the digi001 is brilliant, im just really dying to get it going.. (i mean if I had a spare 5000$AUS I'd go out an buy a mac, but i dont).

anyhows.. hope you're all having fun with your digi001's.. im waitin on mine.

Just wondering what the actual situation is with the win98 protools le software?

Will it be free for MAC users to change over (if they wanted to?).. How do you go about it all (in Australia even) ?

Please help, ready to purchase a MAC version this Thursday.. really need some advice here..

I'm in the same situation as you I bought the Mac package and am currently waiting for the PC software release), and it's hard to tell speculations from facts.

So sorry for bugging those in the know at Digi, but any answers concerning :

1. Release date ?
2. Software (& drivers) downloadable from the site or not ?
3. PC hardware requirements ? (If the release is due for may 15th I won't believe you guys if you tell me you don't know !)

Thanks for any help. I guess there are lots of us eager to get to work with the 001 on the PC.
