Recti-Fi inconsistent output phase!?

I'm not using that plug too often.. actually I can't remember last time I used it... but now I'm trying to get some results and it sounds right on the track, but the problem is that on a stereo track, the output toggles between stereo-mono-out-of-phase'ish sound. Is this the way this plug works or is it a bug or what? I'm using the plug for the distortion effect it has but I cannot live with the weird random effect of the output.
