Is there a limit in the midi outputs pop up menu?
I have Reason 3.0.4 rewired into a session in Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9. There are 4 combinators in the Reason App and I'm trying to add some regular midi from my Supernova 2 keyboard. However, when I try to assign the Supernova 2 to the output of a midi track it's not there. The list goes from a-sp and stops short. The list is taken up by all of the individual combinator parts! Is there a limit in the midi outputs pop up menu? If so, how do I work around this? The Supernova 2 shows up in the input menu and under the send midi clock without a problem so I know it's not a set up problem.

Any Reason users out there?
I have a work around for this problem. I had to close the session and open again. I am able to see all of my midi devices before opening the rns file in Reason. So I assigned my Supernova 2 to the midi output of the track and then saved my PT session. Then I opened the rns file for Reason and I am good to go! So is there is a limit? I don't know! I count 71 slots plus the predefined. This is not counting the individual channels on a port. It seems like this must be a glitch. Why have a cap? And why 71? Doesn't make any sense to me. If you use Reason, rewire it up and see if you get the magic 71 limit.

Re: Any Reason users out there?
If you toggle the midi focus in Reason all the rewire midi disables and you can see all you regular midi outputs. Toggle it back on when your done. This is alot better than closing the session and all of that. Maybe this will help somebody one day!

Re: Any Reason users out there?
Hey bassntreble,
As far as I can tell, the midi focus button which is located on the transport panel is for when you have multiple Reason files open. You can decide which file gets incoming midi data. If you are using Rewire with only one Reason file open, you can toggle the midi focus button off and any of your PT midi tracks that have outputs assigned to rewire devices will italicize. They are disabled. When you look in the midi output pop-up menu, all of the Rewire devices are gone and all of your regular midi are left. Toggle the midi focus button back on and they are enabled again. DIGI 001 PTLE 6.4cs9 Dual 1.25Ghz G4 (Mirror door) 1.5 G Ram Reason 3.0.4
