Default Efficient means of auditioning multiple takes/playlists?

In Digital Performer there is a trick that can allow one to listen to take after take without having to disturb one's concentration or the writing of notes by doing a manual command to switch takes. One uses the "advance take" function (track has to be left in record) of the programmable "command bindings", and adds a midi track to send the "advance take" command. This results in each pass in loop playback switching to the next take- very helpful if there are 100 takes of a difficult two bar passage one needs to evaluate.

Is there any better way in ProTools than having to drag an audio region manually from the bin each time to switch takes on listenback (after having done loop record for a high number of passes)?

Also in PT if one loop records 10 passes of the 2 bar passage, then stops, then does another 9 passes, then stops and does another 12 before listening back to every pass, it can get difficult to keep track of which pass is which in the audio bin. (In DP loop record advances and individual tracks "takes" by 1 for each pass of the loop and places the audio region there so you don't have to keep track of which playlist Vox 1.07.8 is).Any suggestions regarding this problem would be welcome as well.

Thanks in advance

cmd-clic on the region to get a drop down of different takes to audition.

PT8 has a new comping feature that should make this even more user friendly. Not too long before it should be available..

Check out the video on DTV in the ProTools 8 info section..
