Default Lost plug-ins on 7.4 upgrade

I cannot get some of the free Digidesign plug-ins to come up after I upgraded from 7.3 to 7.4,specifically the limiter.
Any idea what I did wrong?

Running a MacBook Pro OS 10.4.11.

Please pay attention to the part where it say they are no longer supported and should be changed to the newer versions of EQIII and DynamicsIII. At some point in the future your going to upgrade only to find they will no longer work.

But if some of those plugs are in older sessions then obviously you need them as it isn't a simple case of swapping them out with the new versions.

Well thats true but think how much fun you will have uninstalling your latest upgrade. Reinstalling your previous version of PT. Opening the old session back up. Changing the plugs over. A and B ing the new EQ curves, Closing the session. Unistalling your old version of PT and upgrading to your new version of PT.

Its easier to do this while the plugin is still working....

What's really needed is new versions of these plugs that conform to the DYNIII and EQIII code but have the older control choices and filter centers and compression curves....But I suspect unsupported means unsupported.
