Default 002 Surface issue - Faders snap to 0 when Record Enabled, Firmware?

I built a Quadcore for a client.

Previously he was using an old version of LE, something like 6.7 or 6.9

When we installed PT 7.1 or 7.3 or whatever it is, he had a session going on another PC with the 002 Surface so we used the 002 Rack for the install stuff.

Now, on the new Quad, with the 002 Surface, when he record enables, that track's fader jumps to 0 (Zero) and then jumps back to it's proper position when Record Enable is removed from that track.

Firmware? Is the firmware for the 002 Surface on the install CD?

Or is it a particular glitch to the version of LE?

If that's the case I'll have to find out which version it is and have him update......

Kinda sounded like a firmware thing to me as we hadn't had the 002 Surface connected during install of PT......?
