Original MBOX s/pdif out

I am trying to use my mbox as a mic pre and run the s/pdif out into my m-audio 1010LT card, but I can't figure out how to get the s/pdif channels to mirror the analog channels on the mbox. If anyone has any experience with this, or needs some clarification on my part, please let me know.

The SPDIF outputs on the Mbox should mirror the analog outputs automatically. In fact, that's all they do.

What is the problem you're experiencing, exactly?

I am trying to use the mbox just as a mic pre, not as an input into a pro tools system. I am running the spdif out into the spdif in on an m-audio 1010LT card. The problem is that the 1010LT is not seeing any signal coming from the mbox, and I know I am getting a signal from the mic connect to the mbox. I have tried both connecting the mbox to a computer running LE and just connecting it to the computer running m-powered; neither of which works. I have tried going into the i/o setup in pro tools LE to setup the spdif output on the mbox, but am unable to actually change the outputs to anything but analog. Is it possible that the spfif out on the mbox is malfunctioning?

No, it's working, but it will not pass signal through the SPDIF output unless Pro Tools is running.
