New Dual AGP NVIDIA video card?

Does anyone know if the new NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti dual AGP video card can be purchased anywhere? I hope they (Apple) are not making you buy a new computer to upgrade your video card....

I don't know if the TI version works but I am using the Geforce 4 (2 monitors, one VGA one ADC) without a hitch so it seems that the ti version, which is the same card but with 2 ADC connectors should work.

I have checked on several occasions and the TI card is not availible for sale by itself yet. I would image that it will become availible after they fill all of the back orders on the new macs.

Is this GeForce 4 available for sale separately? I don't need the Apple connectors...are you sure the specs are the same other than that?

The G4 card is available at Bestbuy.com for $399.99 under the name If you go into the NVIDIA.com site, you will find some other places where it is available. That would be for Windows only, according to the link you posted.

I think the Radeon 8500 is the solution. Digi has already cleared the same chipset (in the 7500) for use with Pro Tools.
