Steve, I hope this does not seem harsh, but I think you guys are draggin' ass on qualifying this card. My feelings are that politically you are not qualifying it cause, you now distribute the ATTO. Am I not right? I may just go ahead and test it myself. Some friends are running it already with no problems.

We've been using the Adaptec 39160 here with Quantum Atlas 10K 18G drives (2 of them) with no problems.

The drive isn't officially "Digidesign Qualified" either. But, it's faster, runs cooler and is quieter then the Seagate's Cheetah.

Default Adaptec 39160 on 9600 - is this possible?

I have 9600 with Sonnet G3/400 MacOS 9.2.2.
Recently bought Adaptec 39160 on ebay but it isn't seen by PowerDomain or SCSIProbe.
Any ideas?

I don't have a lot of input...

But I did have my 39160 on my G4 (OS9.x-10.3.8) with no problems. SCSI probe seemed to work fine for me (at least in OS 9 native...not classic)

Have you found the correct driver?

http://www.adaptec.com/support/beta/macintoshbeta.html

I don't see the 9.x drivers anymore, but perhaps an email to them will yield some positive results.

One possible link...http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5194.

I googled "39160 driver 9.2".
