Ok, I just did some tests on this and, I'm sorry, but I can't repro the Virus issue.

I have a session with some audio tracks and 5 instances of Virus Indigo on separate Instrument tracks. I chose Indigo 1, Indigo 2, etc. respectively for each track. I started with the first track and scrolled through presets as I'm playing, just clicking on the +/- button at the top of the plug-in window. I then recorded some MIDI on the track and moved on to the next track, scrolling through presets, recording MIDI and so on until I got to the 5th track where I spent about 15 minutes going through presets. I closed and reopened the session, tried a few other VI's, then switched back to the Virus and still can't get it to do anything odd.

I'm assuming everyone has done the standard trashing of preferences? What about verifying that ALL installed plug-ins are compatible? Can you post a plug-in version list using the Tech Support Utility from the General Troubleshooting thread?

Is there anything I'm missing about how you're going about reproducing this in your sessions? I'm on a Mac Pro Dual 3ghz, 5GB RAM, HD|2 Accel, 96 and Sync IO using an M-Audio Axiom 49 via USB.

The ReVibe issue is something that's already logged. I have no specifics on when it may get a fix, unfortunately.

Also, again - if you absolutely, positively need a response, it's best to use the http://www.digidesign.com/tsr as I'm not always on the DUC as other parts of my job include writing up bug reports, following up on escalations, etc.

It would be great if I could see and reply to every one - currently it's just not possible, so I want to be sure that you know how best to get attention for specific issues.

Digi, thanks for your response. I sometimes prefer to post here for seeing if anyone else has the same problem, sharing this with other users and for been sure that it's not caused by my setup, settings, pref etc.
BTW I've already done every suggested tips like trashing pref. etc. (I use the useful SW for doing this).
Today I deleted the v8 and installed the 7.4.2 installer of Virus. It seems to work fine. I've also seen that those installers are different because of their size.
I wonder which is the right one and why there are both on the downloading page.
Which Virus version did you use for the test?
Thanx

I tested the 8.0 version and I'm running PT 8.0cs2, just like you (at least according to your signature).

Let me give it some thought and see if I can come up with any other ideas.

Is there any possibility you had both versions of the plug-in in your plug-ins folder at any point?

No. I thrashed the V8 plugin and the Indigo folder in the plugin settings folder (didn't find any Virus pref. in the whole mac), then installed the 7.4.2
Just wondering why there are two different installers for it on Leopard.
Thanks

One is for PT 7.4.2 on Leopard, the other for PT8 (since PT8 has some changes that require a plug-in update to work properly).

I can't explain why the previous version works better!

If I can get any more feedback from anyone on this, I'll keep investigating...until then, I've let other techs know to watch out for this and to report if they find a solution.
