I have no idea what takes so long, as the issue has been fixed on AU but not AAX

Guys, I've truly had enough. I love Pro Tools. I'm done with AVID. This is ridiculous. 6 months and no fix AND NO FREAKING WORD FROM AVID. I created a petition. Help me spread the word.

Guessing that some missed our workaround shared by another user back in Dec, so I have added this to the KB.

I was able to reproduce the problem and verify the workaround on my Mac Mini running Sierra.

The bug report is still open while we are working with AIR to fix this.

Thank you 1 million times!! It really works!! Even when I close and reopen. Next I'm gonna try restarting the Mac. Really happy about this, but why couldn't Avid, or AIR do this? I'm really confused. Maybe we should send you our annual fee....

Thanks for posting!

This is a known issue with Mini Grand when running Pro Tools on macOS Sierra.

WORKAROUND
Replace the com.airmusictech.Mini Grand.plist with a copy created under a previous OS

Quit Pro Tools
Navigate to /user/Library/Preferences
Delete the com.airmusictech.Mini Grand.plist file
Download com.airmusictech.Mini Grand.plist.zip (linked below) and expand the archive
Move com.airmusictech.Mini Grand.plist to /user/Library/Preferences

Download the Attachment: com.airmusictech.Mini Grand.plist.zip

Thanks Jeffro!

It was an Avid Tech that provided the workaround to a customer who then posted it in the thread back in Dec. Note that I didn't need to Restart (steps 2&4) so omitted those from the KB but can add those back if needed.

Also, keep in mind it might not be a complete workaround for Structure Free.

Seems (as in my case) this does not work after closing PT if the Mini Grand.big file is on a separate drive. So would need to repeat the procedure each time opening PT. I guess part of my question is why such a long time to fix, Air said a while back that they had handed fix off to Avid, and maybe a communication directly from Avid might be nice.

Reproduced here, likely due to updating the plist with the alternate .big location. So for now the workaround includes having Mini Grand.big in the default location. (I'll update the KB to state that.)

I haven't been able to find anyone that's received updated plugins from AIR, but will continue to chase this down and reply back when I get more info.

I also added the KB link to http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...ra/262663-3779
