Default dual monitors with pt9 and win7

I hear about this skootch program but you have to email a guy to get it? very annoying.

Is there a easier way to get everything set up with pt9 on win7? i have a ati radeon 6850 and 2 24" asus monitors if that information is needed.

As long as your screens are setup(in windows) for dual view, open Pro Tools but do NOT maximize it. With it filling only part of either screen, drag the edges of the parent window to fill both screens. Now drag each of the 2 sub-windows(MIX and EDIT) to the screen where you want them and drag the edges of each to fill the monitor(I run EDIT on the left screen and MIX on the right). Once you have the windows where you want, close the session by hitting Alt-F4. PT should open as you left it from now on.

It's easy! Just email him, he tells you where to send the payment via paypal. You send it. He sends you the app. It's simple. I had my copy in under an hour!

Yup! It's that simple! However, with skootch, it squeezes out a nice bit more of screen real-estate by getting rid of the title bars for the windows and merging them with the main Pro Tools menu bar. Saves a lot of time not having anything to setup too. Just click a button!
