Default Question: Can you bypass the 002R pre's?

Just a quick question. I want to use 8 of my mackie pre's for the 002R and want to bypass the 4 002R pre's. Can it be done?

With the analog inputs, the pre's will always be resident on channels 1-4. Use lightppie and... no pre's.

Thanks ... I'll have more questions to come since I can't go out and grab any external devices right away.
Currently trying to re-route everything.

Also note, you can run an external pre through the Digi pre's in a pinch. Just crank down the gain on the Digi pre.
True, not ideal, but not horrible. Digi pre's all tend to be fairly neutral in color.

You can hear a difference, that's not necessarily bad, there have been times when I have liked the sound of a double pre with varying gain structures.
