Default Will I lose PT 9 license if I upgrade to PT11?

I recently received the free student for PT11 from PT10 or PT9. I have a license for PT9 and don't want to lose it. I do not yet have a 64-bit machine for PT11. If I activate the PT11 license, does my PT9 license die?

Hi

Yes you lose the PT9 license BUT you also get both PT10 and PT11 in the same bundle as PT11 comes with both 10 for use until every plugin and VI is ported to AAX 64 bit so you can still use PT10 until you want to move over permanently to PT11 or use both as long as you wish.

You need PT 10.3.6 or 10.3.7 for the PT11 and PT10 to co-exist on the same harddrive so you know that you need to download the 10.3.6 or above in order to use both

Good Luck
Christopher

Hi, I'm in the same situation but my issue is that I own a DV Toolkit 2 and I don't want to lose those features I payed for but I have to upgrade cause my new Mac has maverick which apparently doesn't let you install PT9.

Is there any way other than losing those features or pay for a full new licence?!

Most of DVTK2 has been rolled into basic 11. Video Track is the one thing that may be a problem for you
