Xpand2! patches vs parts
I'v noticed in the youtube demonstration videos of the new PT8 and VI's by Phil Jackson that he says that the current Xpand! has 1500 patches, and that the new Xpand2! will have 3000 patches.
Doing a find *|wc -l in the Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-In Settings/Xpand! folder in terminal window on my osx 10.4.9 counts about 1200 patches. And manually counting the number of parts/instruments in Xpand! I get just under 600 parts. I'm a bit confused about the numbers.
