Track Split bounce ... Help im going crazy
Hello all,
I am hoping someone here can help me out with this question. I am a dj and as a dj I make mixes, which I later bounce to disk so that I can later burn these files to cd. Problem is now I want to make sure that every song on my mix has its on track number on the cd. I have tried to do this by 1. Loading the mix into a new session as one track. 2. Splitting the track to the places where the new songs start. 3. Expanding the area and shaving off a bit of the region on every track. 4. Bouncing to disk and burning using track at once, yes the play does not stop when I pay the cd back but it is incredibly noticeable. Can anyone help me to find a way to do this be it in PT or using something else? I would greatly appreciate it. P |

Re: Track Split bounce ... Help im going crazy
If I understand you, you need to do this outside of protools. Your CD burning software should be able to add track ID numbers. I use WaveLab and can even put ID numbers in a continuous file (like a live show). Check the instructions for your curning software. Now if you want your player to automatically pause after each song, you need a pro player with that feature(probably not found on any DJ player).

Re: Track Split bounce ... Help im going crazy
Basically what I want to do is have my dj mix play continuosly but if I want to jump to a certain track I can also do that. Like a professional cd. I use roxio ez cd creator. I cant seem to find that option in it.

Re: Track Split bounce ... Help im going crazy
Some one helped me out the other day with a similar problem. I needed a CD to play as one long song but to show up as 3 seperate tracks on the CD,
Heres what I did. I went into the session and at the end of each section I hit command B (to sepearte region) then exported the song as 3 files, and then selected 0 seconds in iTunes when burning the CD and it worked great. Peace and Good Mixes to All NoteFarm |

Re: Track Split bounce ... Help im going crazy
Use Cd Archetech from Sound Forge, it works great.
You can do a mix in Protools and open it in Sound Forge and then listen to it and enter track markers where ever you want. You can create up to as many tracks as you want. The cool thing about it is that when you play iy back it does stop at each track you make but play continues unless you press next on the cd player. Its an awesome program. Good Luck. Eric M. |
