Default Dual Monitors not working with Pro Tools 8
Hi all.

Just upgraded from PT 7.3.1 to PT 8, but the dual monitor mode does not work. I am able to drag all floating windows - cpu usage, transportwindow, plugins etc... to the second (right) monitor.....but, neither the mix window nor the edit window can be dragged to the second (right) monitor.

When I was on 7.3.1 everything worked just fine.....

Does anyone have a clue what causes this..... .

When I open a session the mix window is almost invisible. It's is placed to the far right of the screen just showing a small strip of the window and has to me moved to be used.

Are you stretching the PT parent window across both screens first?

JMS40 has asked the only question that comes to mind. I have run multiple monitors with PT8 without an issue.

edit: if saving the configuration is the issue... close with the Alt+F4 command to save the screen config.

That's one thing I did not do, I am afraid. Senior moment, I don't know...

I've just done what's been suggested, and that
worked out great

Things are now almost back to normal after the upgrade.
