PLUG IN FOLDERS MOVING AFTER INSTALL
new to pro tools, and tried to install some additional plug ins earlier this week.
after installation, i notice that the newly installed plug in "folder" will randomly jump outside of the main Digidesign folder. has anyone else ever come across this problem? once i attempt to reinstall, if this problem persists, can i just drag the plug in folder back into the main Digidesign folder? i'm assuming this won't have any effect on the newly installed plugin's performance? |

Re: PLUG IN FOLDERS MOVING AFTER INSTALL
Generally nothing gets installed inside the Digidesign folder except ProTools. 3rd party plug-ins will install to your Applications folder by default, but they also place the actual RTAS plug-in in the correct folder as well (which is in your Library folder).
As a general rule, you don't want to move anything from its default install location. Just leave it be. |
