Default Music Production Toolkit II and PT10

PT10 on a Snow Leopard Mac Pro.

I switched from PT8 LE to PT10 also on a different hard drive. When i try to install my Music Production Toolkit II CD on this drive it says it is not compatible with PT10. I need the plugins from this for various reasons. Is there a work around for this?

You can download the plugins from the website. It won't let you install the toolkit because all the features are now built in standard.

Hi,

It is simply not true that all the features of Music Production Toolkit 2 "are now built in as standard". The plugins are not standard, i.e. TL Space Native Reverb, Eleven LE, Smack! LE, Structure LE and Hybrid. These still work well in Pro Tools 10, but you have to install them separately.

Here's Avid's page telling you how to get things working with Pro Tools 10. It also provides links to the necessary installers.

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...rue&popup=true

On the off-chance it is relevant to you, do you also own the Producer Factory bundles, that came with the 003 MBox 2 interfaces?

If so, bear in mind that the page above also contains the info you need to get the plugins from those bundles working with Pro Tools 10. Some of them have already been further updated with aax versions for Pro Tools 10, check iut the announcements in the AAX forum. This includes the Classic Compressors bundle, the Moogerfooger bundle, the Tel-Ray Variable Delay and the Voce Bundle.

Hope this helps,

Nigel

I was referring to the toolkit itself as being standard. That's why I differentiated between it and the plugins.

Sorry nst7, I completely failed to assimilate the first part of your message, only digested the second part.

I'm suitably humbled.

I thought the links and information on the producers bundle were quite valuable.

Thanks, guys, All I had to do was drag the indididual plugin.dpm files into the plugins folder on the PT10 hard drive.

I'm curious. Its been at least 4 years since I ran the MPTK installer. Is there an option to uncheck the toolkit component of the installer? And then just run it to install the plugs? Having said that its always wise to download the las test versions of your plugs rather than using something like the toolkit installer.
