Re: Bug: "There was a problem stopping Pro Tools"
I've always had the problem in PT 11, probably occurs at least 5x per day. As someone said, pressing rewind seems to fix it. More serious problem is the 'unable to generate thumbnails' as that seems to require PT to be closed down, but thankfully that only happens once a day.
Shouldn't be happening at all really. Wolfhound, I'm using Eucon too, it could be something to do with that... |

Re: Bug: "There was a problem stopping Pro Tools"
This was happening for a colleague for quite some time (several months) that has the same setup as me:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 HPZ420 16 GB memory Pro Tools HD 11.3.1 It started happening for me this week consistently after installing and uninstalling some plugin trials. He has not installed any plugins on his machine yet though at any point. It was happening mostly with quick start and stop operations. Have DNxHD40 video in the session. (I believe I read somewhere that Pro Tools isn't the best at decoding H.264 media in real-time.) After reading this thread though, I tried changing the Playback Engine Disk Playback Cache Size from Normal to 1 GB and it seems to have solved it. The 'Ignore Errors During Playback/Record' option was not checked so I left it alone. |

all day, every day. Has ANYONE addressed this?
I've pulled plug ins, zapped PRAM and tried everything I can think of. |

Re: Bug: "There was a problem stopping Pro Tools"
For those who still have this issue (I do on 12.4 Win7), setting a post-roll of 2 or 3 frames prevents from playing the problematic 1 frame selection...

Re: Bug: "There was a problem stopping Pro Tools"
Are you running in grid mode (set to frames)? I found I only get this error when I am editing sub-frames in "slip" mode. And hitting "Return to Zero" on the transport fixes it. As a side note almost ALL my video issues have gone away since transcoding all the videos I get to Apple Pro-res.
