Pro Tools 11 Will Not Load

Having problems with Pro Tools 11. First it would not play back. I removed it and reinstalled it, now I get the following note: "Pro Tools can not be loaded", "Could not find imported function in specified DLL". Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what's the fix?

Putting on my Great Karnak (Google that with Johnny Carson) turban I see that as how the op mentions dll he's on some form of Windoze - but which version? And which exact version of said OS? Further, being on Windows, is the iLok2 plugged into a working powered up USB2 port? Windows by default has the USB ports set to power saving mode. He'll have to go to Windows Control Panel and turn that off.

ASUS R704A Computer, OS: Windows 10 (Home), Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 2020M 2.4 GHz, RAM 4.0 GB (3.89 usable). Note: Was using Windows 8 when Pro Tools 11 was installed on Dec 2013. Just upgraded to Windows 10 six months ago.

Painfully short on resources....i7 processors are preferred, and 4gb ram is barely enough to run the operating system. Are you on 64-bit Windows, or 32-bit?

Yeah - WAY short on resources. Considering how much bloatware is on a standard Windoze install I'm not surprised there are issues. To tell the truth I wouldn't waste money on extra ram (if that could even be fitted). Time for a new machine - that Pentium machine is a dinosaur fit for internet duty only. In the Intel line it's above the Atom & Celeron processors but below the i3/i5/i7 cpu's.
