Pro Tools Take Forever To Load
Just re-installed pro tools on my computer now when I try to open it bounces in the dock for a while then proceeds to open then it hangs on the "peripherals" page for another 5 min before opening. I running a duel core intel xeon mac pro 20GB ram pro tools 8.0.4 with MPTK and Factory. Thanks for the advice! I' have tried all of the general troubleshooting tips to no avail

Try putting all of your RTAS plugs into the unused folder then boot pro tools and see how long it takes to load.
This will help you to identify where the problem lies. An easy way to do this is to use PT Plug-in Manager which you can download from here: http://www.maisonsonique.com/index.p...-software_side

If you have anything connected to the ethernet port try disconnecting it and see if this solves your issue.
If it does, please report back because there are a number of us experiencing this very annoying issue.
