Default amplitube.. can\'t find it in my plugin\'s

hey guys..

ok, so i loaded amplitube on my daw and for some reason i can't seem to find the plugin on my plugin options. i checked to see where the plugin installed, but i am not sure what folder it needs to be in so that i can access it via my plugins menu. i am thinking that i may need to move the files to a different location? where should they be moved to, what folder do they need to be in for them to work?

simple quesion, i know..

: )

gracias!!

The IKMultimedia installer should have put them in the proper location, unless you changed the location during install, or you have a non-standard Pro Tools install (not at all recommended).

What version of Amplitube?

Ahhh, The original Amplitube LE?

There is actually an update for that on the IKMultimedia website. Go to Support->"Access the User area here" then "Download software updates and free contents" to get the latest version. It should install into the proper place, and it fixes a TON of bugs that were in the original.

The newest version up there(1.0.2) is a full installer, so you can just download it and install the whole thing. I think it will even prompt you to uninstall if you already have it installed.

ok.. this is stange. i re-installed the plugins, along with the updates and they still are not showing up in the plugin menu.. i am a bit confused here. they should install into the correct folder. should i move them? what folder do they need to be in so that i can access them? and if so.. what file need to be moved over.

note: i tried to unistall them and "IK Multimedia" was not listed as a program on the list in the "remove program" listing.

please help me..

In Pro Tools, Amplitube LE shows up in the "Other" category.

In the Windows uninstall menu, it shows up as "Amplitube LE".

If you're using the right installer you shouldn't have to physically move the files.

ok.. so i installed the plugins.. and again for some strange reason the files were not loaded into the correct folders..? ( i am using the original install disc provided with my 002). so after some snooping around i moved the files over into what i thought are the correct folders and viola.. it worked. but now amplitube/sampletank only show up in the plugin menu for one session. i can't access them in other session? huh?? anyone else have this problem?
