Alesis sr16 midisman setup PTLE6.9

Ive had my midiman usb working with my heyboards for a while, but can't get any action in ProTools LE 6.9with my Alesis SR 16. I got it all hooked up and on omni, but I'm trying to record midi notes from the SR16 to a midi track and I'm not getting anything. Any tips?
