Accidently closed my Tracks window, how re open?
Ok, this is really stupid but I accidently closed my Tracks/Edit window (Showing instruments and wav forms, Not the Mix window) and I cant figure out how to open it back up. I even reopened protools but its still missing. It doesnt appear to be in the "windows" drop down menu.
Im sure its simple, can somebody help a bro out? Thanks |

Re: Accidently closed my Tracks window, how re open?
Are you holding down Ctrl when you hit "="? They have to be together, not one after the other.
Cheers,

Re: Accidently closed my Tracks window, how re open?
at the very top where your apple icon is ,you will see it says Pro Tools, go across from there near the end it says window, click window , now there are a crap load of thing to pick from the drop down, click on either mix or edit which ever you need. This will do it .
the short cut for edit and mix are command - or + . they have to be at the same time. or continuously holding command then - OR + at the same time . If all this doesn't bring up the screen you have likely dragged it off screen and cannot see it when it does toggle |

Re: Accidently closed my Tracks window, how re open?
And if you have accidentally dragged it offscreen, you can temporarily adjust your video card's resolution to a higher value.
This will allow you to see more of your "desktop". You can then drag the Edit window to the upper left of your visible window. Then reset your resolution to its original value. Note this will rearrange all of your desktop shortcuts, but real men don't use desktop shortcuts anyway... Good luck...
