Default Alternatives to SoundMiner

I tried searching but only found old threads ... I am looking for an application or tool that will manage all of my sound libraries, sfx, ect. I want to be able to search by metadata. I use SoundMiner at work but am looking for something a little less expensive for the home studio. Any suggestions? I looked into Snapper by Audio Ease but it lacks some key features. I did like that it had the snap to curser within Pro Tools though . Thanks in advance!

Netmix is the biggest competitor with Soundminer but it costs about the same.

One alternative that I know of is Library Monkey. I've tried the demo at home, and it works relatively well, although not as slick as Soundminer. http://www.monkey-tools.com/librarymonkey/

The app I'm waiting on is made by Basehead - http://www.baseheadinc.com/
The mac version is in beta, but should be available shortly. Much more affordable than it's competitors and already used pretty widely, especially in sound or games.

Have you tried Iced Audio's Audio Finder?

http://www.icedaudio.com/

You can try it for free. If you decide to buy it, updates are always free - and fairly frequent, since the developer responds to bug reports and suggestions almost immediately...
