Default again with DMA 66

Steve, Digi, and DUC users

I feel like purchasing a Yikes G4 right now would be a mistake no DMA66 controller.
I have a ATTO controler and Seagate SCSI drives being UPSed as I type.

I just think that DMA66 and G4 sawtooth is the future. ME and my Rock Project studio clients can wait for sawtooth (late December) compatability and PT5.0.

-Has anyone ran 20 tracks on a DMA66 drive with a DMA33 Yikes controller?

-Is sawtooth approvial coming if I wait (more?)

I could have a sawtooth in my hands in 20 minutes nd my Mix+ is just sitting in a box :-(

Default Re: again with DMA 66

I can't answer the Sawtooth question, as this box is still in test.

We tested the 001 with PTLE and easily got 24 tracks from a 7200RPM ATA drive that supports UDMA33 or 66 on the Yikes box.

This wasn't tested with TDM, so your milage may vary.
