track zoom issues with 7.3

ever since using 7.3 every once in a while my zoom will begin to act up. just clicking on a track will either make it smaller or larger. clicking on another track will make that one smaller or larger with the previous track doing the opposite. really annoying while editing. i feel like im smart enough to designate what width i want the track im working on to be. also does this with the midi notes within a midi track. scoured preferences, digidesign support, and the duc, but not finding anyone with a similar problem.. any help would be appreciated. thanks
