Default DIGI 003 Rack "Powering Down" at PT Launch

Hey guys,
I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this. I have a DIGI 003 Rack system running PT 8.0.3. In the past couple months or so, the rack unit has "powered down" once PT has launched. I have to turn the rack unit off then back on again to get things going. But that of course causes other communication problems between the rack and PT so I end up having to shut down PT and start over.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

Thanks.

That's odd for sure. Which OS are you running? Have you tried another firewire cable(they can fail for no reason).

DO NOT hot-swap the firewire cable!!!!! Turn EVERYTHING off first!!!!!!

Yeah mine does that when it can't communicate with PT sometimes. I usually have to power everything down and then back up and it usually works ok. If you're using Windows 7 you might try the 1394 hotfix listed in the I7 thread - it has been a godsend for me!

I'm having this problem with my 003 console. Right in the middle of the session the console will just go offline.

Could it be a driver update or something to correct this?

I have to close PT 8 and restart and then it works fine, but it may randomly go offline.

Thanks!
