Default v/o sessions for CDR games

The situation:

Company gives me a list of dialog id#s - over 200. I pre-entered arbitrary Locates (not knowing the length of the lines) with the id#s.

Seemed to be working fine, until I got the "unable to allocate space - disc probably fragmented" window. I closed the session anmd sorted out the problem -BUT when I tried to open it again - PT went through the usual routine - finding all audio files, plug-ins but would never open the session. I've rescued the track with TrackTransfer (losing the locate ids s***)

Any tips on how to handle situations like this?

TIA

David
