Re: Feature wishes for christmas
I do like that Cubase has that feature. You can move Tracks and Rulers "Above" or Into, the Edit window. Great if you are making music, but working with a fixed VO+SFX. It's been less important for me since I started using "Assignments" in EuCon, but it might be cool to have.

Well, if we’re talking little things…
A list of recently used plug-ins right above the categories like Logic Pro has. Customized profiles for midi controllers. A better way to search for and incorporate loops….once again like Logic Pro. |

Re: Feature wishes for christmas
First:
Id like to see a "smart" arming/ un arming of hybrid mode of tracks. meaning, when in Hybrid mode, when you put a track into record, all down stream tracks go into hybrid mode automatically. But when you take that track out of record, everything stays in hybrid mode. Im not understanding why it was designed this way, and why it dosent follow the record designation? second: PLEASE return the cursor to black in classic mode. Avid informed me that the cursor now being white, was a result of adopting dark mode, [ where a white cursor makes sense]. Avid stated thats its classified as both a feature AND a bug. Every agent Ive spoke to is as confused as I was by this, and said this: I'm sorry that it was not the answer you were looking for. Yes this is a known issue, although no time set for a fix(as of the moment). here is the bug number PT-272824 for your reference. Kind regards, Madz Avid Global Customer Care

A sort-of workaround for those with EuCon is to fix a fader to a channel - might help in some circumstances. But lots of shortfalls with this, not least is that switching projects makes it forget the assignment.

Re: Feature wishes for christmas
When making an new aux I would love the options in the track creation box for the new aux to share the output and folder settings of the track that the send was created on - 9 times out of ten that's what I want so it would save time making those changes after the fact.
I would like to be able to move faders together without making a group using the do-to-all-selected shortcut. a key command to move automation level up or down - like there is for clip gain. searchable audio-suite menu - I'm so used to using the search for aax now an inverse pan-linking could be nice as an option in grouping |

Also when you re-conform a session the markers would simply move with the clips they belong to. And of course you can sort, search and have different coloured markers for different purposes. In PT they are just time-based "book marks" so if you move a paragraph of your "book" the marker just stays on "page 125" still saying "adr this line" which 3 people talking over another. We need time-based and object based markers. (and yes I know about dummy clip groups and other rings we all jump through to work around it. It's just not very elegant)

Re: Feature wishes for christmas
Hi all,
I'd like to be able to set a 'Safe Zone' or 'Working Zone' for automation. i.e I'm working on multiple Reels project and I wish to lock my automations outside that 'Working Zone'. So if I need to fix some stuff inside my already mixed project I don't have to fear to still working with 'to the end' at 'write on stop' with no selection. I know I could make a timeline selection but 'Back and play' will kills it... Old fashion consoles used to have this kind of option. |

Re: Feature wishes for christmas
All I want for Christmas Avid is
1) Cut/Insert time to work on all playlists, not just the top one. I've been asking for this since 2004 2) To be able to open/close folders when recording 3) To be able to record arm/disarm all tracks in a folder, at folder level 4)For folder tracks to show the (tiny) waveforms of what's inside them 5) To toggle the 'play midi note' when editing feature on & off with a key command.
